These grants are used for student scholarships, technology upgrades, curriculum improvements, etc. SUCCEED has an annual fund raising dinner each fall, with all proceeds going to an endowment. We also publish a quarterly newsletter, Kaleidoscope, with information about the schools. For more information about SUCCEED, please click on the link above.   SCORE - Sacramento Children's Opportunities for a Rural Education This program is brand-new. As the endowment grows, it will provide grants to the rural schools in our Diocese for student scholarships, technology upgrades, curriculum improvements, etc.   SSI - Special Student Initiative Because Catholic schools do not receive federal money for education, we have established a special fund to help students who need special assistance to attend a Catholic school (e.g., a sign language interpreter, braille books, a special one-on-one tutor, etc.).
